Description
This UV Filter blocks the invisible UV component of light from the sky, which can cause blur and to which many color films react with a blue cast. Because the glass is colorless, color rendition is not altered, aside from the elimination of the unwanted blue cast, and no increase in exposure is required, it makes a UV Filter very suitable as protection of the front element of the taking lens against dust, flying sand, sea water spray and the like, and it can be kept on the lens at all times. It is highly recommended for analog color and black-and-white as well as digital photography.
Features
1/ The filters are protected by this extremely resistant multi-layer broadband coating on both sides. In addition, the scratch-resistant, water and oil repellent outer layer makes it easier to clean the glass surface.
2/ Based on the top-grade glass material, B270 optical glass from Germany, employes the process of double-sided multilayer nano coating, it improves light transmission from about 96% (uncoated glass) to 99% around.
3/ Due to its low residual reflection (0.5% approximately) MRC prevents ghosting or double images, which can be caused by return reflections from sensors.
Warm tips
Digital cameras need multicoated filters, because CCD or CMOS sensors of which are highly susceptible to reflections, and this stray light can ruin your photographs! So better not to risk your valuable photos by using bare-glass filters.
